Pet Staycation While On Vacation
Maryborough & District Animal Refuge & Boarding Kennels has reopened their boarding facilities catering to dogs, cats & even birds.
This is a local not-for-profit organisation, running entirely on donations & manned by volunteers. They provide a valued service to the greater Maryborough area.
If you are thinking of adopting a pet, take a look at their facebook page, link HERE. They regularly post the furry friends looking for forever homes.
There are simple ways you can support the Maryborough & District Animal Refuge even if you aren't able adopt, such as:-
- Get the family involved with volunteering at the shelter.
- Get involved to volunteer with fundraising, there are various regular activities the organisation does to help raise awareness & collect donations.
- Donate cat or dog food, laundry powder, kitty litter or similar useful items.
= donate old towels & blankets leading up to Winter time.
