Handmade Creative Paradise
Did you realise you live in a handmade paradise, a eutopia for creative people. There is no doubt on this as I explore the Fraser Coast with the quest to share positive stories I am continuously amazed & inspired by the volume of truly talented artists who reside here.
Episode 59: Handmade Heroes just aired was another light bulb moment where I once again feel like I have had further evidence to support this sense of living in a creative region. I met with an industrious, Maryborough beautiful mum of 3 boys/young men, who, like me is happiest when extremely busy. So, not really surprising to learn the popular Handmade Expo Fraser Coast is her activity to relax & pure enjoyment.
Kel has been involved with The Handmade Market for many years and she is keen to promote not only the market but other retail outlets her stallholders (aka "her girls") showcase their handmade unique pieces for sale in the region. A list of those stocklists are detailed at the bottom of this blog.
The Handmade Expo Fraser Coast is part of a network of expos, now 13 run around Queensland. Their main promotion is through facebook & you can find their page HERE.
The Handmade Expo is held at the PCYC in Hervey Bay & now also the Community Recreation Centre in Maryborough. Each venue will have a quarterly expo next year (2020).
The next market is being held on Saturday 1st December,
20219 and is themed a Christmas Market. There will be over 100 stalls plus food & beverages available.
