Fraser Coast Seachange Sparks Creativity
No need to crack a jumper last Winter for this beautiful seachanger from the Illawarra in NSW, just one of the blessings about living in Hervey Bay, and the greater Fraser Coast Region expressed by Kat Cobb.
I came across Kat's name when finding some of her wares at The Hatch, Urangan Pier, which spurred me onto meeting & recording a podcast.
Like everyone I meet, scratch the surface & the story they share is always a surprise & a
positive inspiration. Kat is no different, but I would really like to promote her business at the forefront of this wee blog.

Kat's approach is to give anything a go, & finds her own inspirations but also is commissioned by others to create specific pieces. Personally, I have commissioned Kat to produce me a Wonder Woman costume for the 2020 FraserPop Culture Festival, more on that another time!
Kat is a mum, wife & while very talented, is also a kindred spirit I find because she has had to adjust aspects of her daily life to manage a chronic illness. In Kat's situation it being Fibromyalgia. This is a chronic condition which is as debilitating as Multiple Sclerosis, but doesn't have the research like MS. When you understand the impact Fibro has on a persons life, you can further appreciate how wonderful Kat's achievement in launching her own business is.
Focusing on the future, it looks so wonderfully bright for Kat. The Fraser Coast Region is very lucky that her families' camper trailer visited to cement the decision of a seachange to our region.
Kat's business is only young and still morphing but she can provide a service for all sewing, alterations, through to handmade items (eg. bags & accessories), momentos, signs and even painting & photography. All of a very professional standard.
